- Introduction: Linux-based network devices are good alternatives to existing commercial products when the latter cannot be afforded for a reason or another. Network administrators can make use of Linux as a free and robust operating system to create and configure basic network, security and monitoring devices. Existing devices, even with moderate hardware resources in terms of computing power and memory capacity, can be configured as network intermediary and policy enforcement devices while saving both budget and purchase time.
The workshop provides practical insights into network implementation and administration using Linux as the main platform.
- Aims Of The Workshop: During the workshop, real working implementations are shown which are derived from real case scenarios applied to corporate networks. The workshop aims at providing attendees with practical experience in designing and configuring network devices under Linux to answer basic corporate needs in terms of network infrastructure devices including routers, firewalls, DNS, MRTG…etc.).
